kind of really interesting.

While talking over lunch with my new BFF Brittney this past weekend (seriously guys, in the most non-creepy way I can think of stating this: it is so much fun to meet online friends in real life! I'll definitely have to explain more on that meeting later...) we started discussing the popularity and amount of "Mormon Mother/Women bloggers" and I have to ask all of you the same question -- have you ever noticed some sort of trend in that area too?

Being LDS, I can often relate to their lifestyle and am familiar with a lot of their religious beliefs and certain aspects of life portrayed through their blogs (family oriented, focus on motherhood, etc) but it was interesting to see it from another point of view:

Why I Can't Stop Reading Mormon Housewife Blogs

If you have five extra minutes, I'd recommend the link above (it's actually kind of really interesting)

What do you think?

aww yes, i saw this article a week or two ago. super interesting. i love it. i actually wrote a paper on mommy blogging (not mormon necessarily) and i am presenting it at a conference in a few weeks. i love being a part of the blogging community and learning about others and the sub communities they form. so fascinating!

Thanks for sharing the article, it's interesting to hear the point of views from non-member on LDS blogger.

I still can't figure it out! I'm not sure what it is. But I do love that article--I read it a few days ago and thought it was very interesting and complimentary. For me, the most successful blogs are indeed "uplifting," but they also are grounded and very sincere. You can't fake real, you know?

That article was really interesting, thank you for sharing! It was really eye-opening to read what non-members think. I always worry about writing about our beliefs and using terms that are not familiar to everyone in the blogging community. I know I shouldn't worry, but I'm glad to know that it still sparks non-members' curiousity and interest.
