true story.

April 16, 2010

so what do you do when your friend
shows up at your door on tuesday night,
and demands that you buy plane tickets to new york city
leaving that night at 11:30 pm?

well, you check your bank account
and say no way jose --

but to make up for it:
you spend the following day
riding your bike around town for hours and hours;
you stop for lunch,
and immediately thereafter: stop somewhere else for dessert.

then later that night you make
homemade ice cream sandwiches for dinner,
take a hike, watch the sun set,
make a wish on a bridge with christmas lights,
(because wishing is inevitable when christmas lights are involved)

and then on the drive back,
you both realize that home can be
just as exciting as new york city,
(and that procrastinating homework is sometimes worth it -
- even during finals).

ps. thanks for all the feedback last time!
i finally ordered the bike,
and i plan on ordering this when it's in stock!

YES! looove the basket addition! Please please, one day ride your bike to some farmers market or store, buy flowers and have them in the basket as you ride back. *dies* Lovely.

Your day sounds wonderful! and it is fun to be spontaneous like that, but I sure do love finding fun stuff to do around home because then you feel thriftier AND you know you can always have fun without spending lots of money.

I want to see that film so bad!
And I love how best friends would readily almost do everything for each other!

I am so glad you had fun, and that basket is lovely. Ruth's diner sounds so fun! Just tell me when.

I have NEVER seen The Little Princess. At least I don't think I have. Hmm...
